PONS METHOD LEVEL 1 — HEAD COACH EXCELLENCE - ADVANCED
PONS METHOD LEVEL 1 — HEAD COACH EXCELLENCE — ADVANCEDThe Advanced level is designed for coaches who already understand the foundations of the PONS Method and want to build a complete, integrated and transferable coaching system. It goes beyond applying individual principles and focuses on architecture: how to connect game identity, training design, planning, staff organisation, player development, performance information and evaluation within one coherent operating model. The coach works on designing a full-season structure in which long-term objectives, competitive demands and daily training decisions are aligned. This includes connecting season planning, mesocycles, microcycles and individual sessions so that every layer of the process supports the same football idea.A major focus of the Advanced level is staff integration. The Head Coach learns how to define responsibilities, communication channels, decision rights and working interfaces across the technical, performance, medical and analysis departments. The objective is to reduce fragmentation and create a staff that operates through shared criteria and coordinated decisions. The programme also develops the coach’s ability to adapt the game model without losing identity. Opponents, squad availability, match state, player characteristics and competitive context must be incorporated into decision-making while preserving methodological coherence.Another key area is evidence and evaluation. The coach learns how to identify meaningful indicators, review whether the training process is producing the expected outcomes, detect methodological drift and make adjustments based on clear criteria rather than intuition alone. The Advanced level also requires a higher degree of leadership. The Head Coach must be capable of designing the system, communicating it, protecting its coherence and ensuring that the methodology continues to function even when circumstances or personnel change. The final objective is to develop a Head Coach who is not only able to manage a team, but to architect a complete performance environment: a system that connects football, people, information, training and competition while remaining adaptable, measurable and sustainable over time.
